Career:

Peter Milobar's career in politics and public service spans over two decades, marked by significant roles and achievements. Elected MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson in 2017 and 2020, he is now seeking re-election in Kamloops Centre. Most recently serving as Shadow Minister for Finance, Peter has a strong focus on fiscal responsibility and economic development. His previous roles include serving as Opposition House Leader and Shadow Minister for Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Environment and Climate Change. Before his provincial role, Peter was the Mayor of Kamloops for three terms, where he demonstrated leadership and commitment to local governance. He also served as chair of the Thompson Regional Hospital District for five terms and as a director for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District since 2005. His extensive experience extends to work with the BC Transit Board of Directors, PRIMECorp, and the Local Government Contract Management Committee.
