FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Karin Litzcke nominated as Conservative Party Of BC candidate for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant by-election.

VANCOUVER, BC (May 22 2023): The Conservative Party of BC has nominated long time Strathcona resident and education activist Karin Litzcke as their candidate for the Vancouver-Mount Pleasant by-election.

“I’m running because our children need someone to advocate on their behalf – we need to get back to common sense policies in education, and we really need to restore public safety. Moreover, I'm an optimistic problem solver and I want to bring these qualities to the legislature," says Litzcke.

“Our public education system is failing BC’s kids. We know that ‘safe supply’ drugs are being sold in our public schools. People who live in this riding feel unsafe in their neighborhoods, but they don’t know what to do about it. The status quo isn’t working,” Litzcke concludes.

“Karin has been active in her community. She's been a strong advocate for Parents' Choice in schools, and she believes in common sense. We're the only party that is standing up for BC’s parents, and Karin has been advocating more for this for a long time. It’s time to get our education system focused on academics," says Conservative Party Leader, MLA John Rustad.

The launch event for Karin will be at Propaganda Coffee 209 E Pender St, Vancouver BC V6A 1T8 at 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 25th.

MLA John Rustad, the Conservative Party of British Columbia's Leader, will speak as supporters gather to launch Karin's campaign. Propaganda Coffee is a family-owned small business in the riding of Vancouver Mount Pleasant.

Snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided. Propaganda Coffee will also be open late for attendees who wish to purchase coffee and other snacks and beverages.
