In 2024, individuals cannot contribute more than $1,450.82 in a calendar year to any political party, its riding associations, and its candidates.
The tax credit is based on the total amount of all your contributions to registered BC political parties this year:
- 75% of contributions up to $100
- 50% of contributions between $100 and $550
- 33% of contributions between $550 and $1150
The maximum annual tax credit is $500.
