Get rid of the absurd NDP bag tax

Since July 16th, 2024. David Eby’s BC NDP has mandated a new tax on all of us. A $2 NDP bag tax, for every unplanned visit to the grocery store.

If you are like most shoppers, sometimes you don’t remember to take a bag when you suddenly realize you are out of milk or fruits or eggs - and now you will have to pay an additional $2 for a bag EVERY SINGLE TIME.

While I believe reducing waste is good for the environment, it should be done on YOUR terms, and not forced on you by your government.

BC Conservatives and Sam Chandola, your MLA candidate for North Vancouver - Seymour, believe in common sense solutions as a commitment to our beliefs and environmental responsibility.

That is why we have decided that instead of spending campaign funds just on lawn signs, which often end up in landfills, we’re reducing our signs and carbon footprint by offering an eco-friendly alternative with reusable grocery bags. Because let’s face it, lawn signs benefit career politicians, not people.

These bags are more than just a campaign tool. We want to help you save money and reduce waste at the same time.

If you want to stand against the NDP’s bag tax, or if you live in North Vancouver-Seymour and would like a reusable bag, let us know by signing this petition and share your thoughts on the #NDPbagtax.

Support Sam Chandola and the BC Conservatives in bringing practical solutions and common sense back to North Vancouver-Seymour. Together, we can make a change—one bag at a time.
