FAQ

The AGM Committee will review your purchase and confirm that you are a member in good standing and eligible to represent your riding.

Yes. Only members in good standing may purchase a Delegate ticket. However, anyone may purchase a dinner ticket.

Each riding is permitted a maximum of ten delegates to be sent to the AGM. If your riding has an active association and more than ten individuals purchase a ticket, there will be an election process. If there is no active association in your riding, the first ten individuals who purchase Delegate tickets will automatically be approved as delegates. Further information on the process of becoming a Delegate can be found in the Party Constitution.

The Annual General Meeting involves several important decisions and processes for the Party. These include the election of the Management Committee, and introduction of Policy and Constitutional proposals.

The Annual General Meeting is held in a different city each year. Previous cities include Kelowna, Prince George and others.

Party conventions across Canada are always held in person. The exception was the COVID pandemic, which led to the Party holding its first virtual AGM last year.
