Adam Kubel is a small business owner, husband, father, and experienced public servant looking to deliver measured and meaningful change in his community of Saanich South and British Columbia.
Education and Early Career
Adam pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan (UBCO) where through his on-campus involvement with a student lead research farm, he discovered his passion for project management. Maximized efficiency, transparency, and meaningful value delivery are central to the field of project management, and skills Adam has developed though his career.
Skilled Project Manager
Adam has over 13 years of experience as a project manager and has worked in the public and private sector in a variety of industries, providing him with a unique and holistic perspective to business challenges. He began his private sector career in the Alberta construction industry supporting industrial oil and gas process equipment as an estimator and project manager, later moving into the environmental engineering and consulting industry with a multinational firm aiming to balance the protection of the environment with the development of natural resources. Adam then moved back home to British Columbia, where he began his career in the public sector, working as senior manager on large scale natural resource technology, anti-money laundering, and health care projects.
A Measured approach
Adam draws upon his many years of project experience today as a consultant, trainer, and mentor to project managers, promoting effective management and delivery of large- and small-scale projects. He also serves as a Director and Co-Owner of You Floral, a multinational floral wholesale company, which has won the Community Votes Victoria - Platinum award 4 years running and is a member of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce since 2021. His experience leading large scale transformation work in the public and private sector, and his years growing a Saanich based business from a garage has developed his strong business sense, emotional intelligence, and has made him keenly aware of the pain points, obstacles and inefficiencies faced by the Saanich business community, and the citizens of British Columbia.
Vision for Saanich – South
Adam has proudly called Saanich his home for the past 8 years and with the growth of community roots, has seen it’s time for a change. His vision is for a community and province where government focus moves to remedying the real issues directly impacting households, and to bring about meaningful and measured change in affordable housing, economic development, public safety, and healthcare.
